Privacy

The short version
We collect only what we need to run the service and bill you if you pay. We don't sell anything to anyone. We don't train models on your articles. We delete render source text once the audio is done.
What we collect
Account data. Your email, a hashed password, your plan. That's it.
Article URLs and text. When you render an article we fetch the text, turn it into audio, then delete the text. We keep a log of the URL and a timestamp for thirty days for debugging.
Generated audio. Stored on your account so you can replay it. You can delete renders any time. Free tier renders are auto-deleted after seven days.
Payment data. We use Stripe. We never see your card number. We see the last four digits and the plan tier.
Basic usage logs. Which voices you use, how long your renders are, roughly. Lets us improve the service without watching you.
What we don't collect
We don't fingerprint your browser. We don't load third-party trackers. We don't sell any of your data. We don't use your articles to train voices or phrasing models. Ever.
Cookies
A session cookie so you stay signed in. A plausible.io-style privacy-first analytics cookie (aggregated, anonymous, no cross-site tracking). That's it. No ads, no Google Analytics, no pixel tags.
Who sees your data
Us, the three of us. Our payment processor (Stripe) for billing. Our hosting and storage (Vercel, Cloudflare, AWS S3) to actually run the thing. No one else.
Your rights
You can see, export, or delete everything we have on you. Use the contact form. We act within seven days, usually less.
Accessibility
The service exists partly for readers with low vision. If a setting or data flow makes that harder, tell us. We'll fix it.
Kids
Not intended for anyone under sixteen. We don't knowingly keep accounts for minors.
Where data lives
Account data in the EU (Frankfurt) or US (Virginia) depending on where you signed up. Audio renders are cached on a CDN to keep listening fast. Nothing crosses borders we didn't tell you about.
Changes
If we change this in a meaningful way we email you before it takes effect.
