We did not pay for Speechify Premium for this piece. Here is exactly what we did instead, because pretending otherwise would not make the review more honest, just quieter about its limits. On September 19, 2026, we opened Speechify's free web reader directly, no account upgrade, ran the default sample voices at 1x and the free tier's maximum 1.5x speed, and captured screenshots of the live interface. We then pulled the current Premium ($29/month or $139/year) and Studio ($19 to $49/month) tiers straight from Speechify's own pricing page rather than trusting third-party summaries that go stale within months. Finally, we aggregated verified user reviews across four independent platforms: G2 (4.5/5, 19 reviews on Speechify Studio), Trustpilot (4.6/5 across 4,736 rated reviews of 7,005 total), Capterra (3.8/5, 10 verified buyer reviews), and unmoderated Reddit threads, checking recurring praise and complaints against what the live product actually showed. Where our own read of the interface disagreed with a platform's aggregate, specifically Capterra's lower number against Trustpilot's, we say so instead of quoting whichever score flatters the verdict.
